Process

  • Theses and seminar papers are checked for plagiarism using Turnitin.
  • If plagiarism or an attempt at deception (e.g., use of AI tools like ChatGPT) is detected, the grade will be “5.0” (not sufficient).
  • Cases of plagiarism are reported to the examination office (Benjamin Gödicke, wiai.pruefungen@uni-bamberg.de), along with a summary and an assessment (extent and significance).
  • Students are given the possibility to explain their case to the examination office.
